Craig Cuttner is senior vice president, Technology Development and Standards, for Home Box Office, Inc., responsible for projects related to technology architecture in the Technology Operations area. He oversees the planning of distribution technology architecture used to serve HBO’s core and new business platforms, the strategic technical relationships with distributors, and the establishment of technical standards for new technologies of interest to the company. He was named to this position in March 2014. Previously, he was senior vice president, Advanced Technology.
Cuttner serves on several industry committees, and has been active in HDTV since the late 1980s. He has also been involved in strategic work since the mid 1990’s on video on demand, including the technical deployment of HBO On Demand and Cinemax On Demand. In addition, Cuttner has worked on technical strategy for delivering content to new media platforms, including HBO’s international ventures, wireless and broadband offerings.
He was named a Fellow in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers in 2000. Cuttner has over one dozen patents and patents pending.
Cuttner holds a BS degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech.
