Session Description

The 114th Congress has kept policymakers and stakeholders busy and as we race towards a Presidential election there are no signs of slowing down. With the internet increasingly impacting more aspects of our lives, the leaders of the House Energy & Commerce, Senate Commerce, and House Judiciary Committees find themselves at the center of some of the most important policy debates of our time. Proposed set top box rules, a new Title II regime for ISPs (including the possibility of a new privacy framework), reviews of special access policy, freeing up spectrum, and the recent battle over encryption are all issues these committees are addressing and will continue to grapple with in the near future. Join us in Imagine Park where staff from these influential Congressional committees take the stage to explain and explore how issues facing this Congress will profoundly impact U.S. policy, our nation’s economic growth, and consumer expectations in the digital era.
